Do you use vitamins, other nutrition supplements regularly?
I’m one of those people who has struggled all my life with weight problems — too weighty by far, in other words. I don’t want to be too politically incorrect — but I’m a fat guy. No other way to honestly say that.
I have, however, always tried to eat properly and get good amounts of all the vitamins and minerals I need. My biggest issue for losing weight isn’t the nutritional content, nor even the volume of food I eat. My biggest issue has always been inactivity. I spend WAY too much time sitting in front of the computer or television and not enough time on my feet and moving around.
Having said all that, I get to the topic of this little ramble — how much value do you think there is in taking vitamins and other nutritional supplements? Do you use vitamins and/or nutrition supplements regularly? Which ones and why?
When I was a younger lad, doctors and others in the medical profession treated vitamins and supplements as though they were either a total waste of time and good money, or perhaps even hazardous to normal health. (Although I can recall for many years that all doctors I’ve known would always recommend prenatal vitamins for pregnant women. Never figured out how something could be wasteful and/or dangerous to me — but necessary for my pregnant wife?)
But for at least a few decades now, even the most skeptical doctors see value in at least a basic multivitamin tablet a day. What a curious — and certainly, I think, a GOOD! — turn of events. So how has all this affected your daily living habits? Do you take vitamins or other nutritional supplements? Leave a comment and let us know if you feel especially passionate about it.
