How often do you shop online? What sorts of things do you buy online?
By Gary | September 10, 2008
I'm asking the questions in the title of this post with the assumption that you DO shop online. You do, don't you? Or have in the past?
I haven't read the latest estimates, but I know the estimates of people who shop online at least occasionally number in the hundreds of millions worldwide. Which is probably a mixed blessing, but certainly something that's here to stay.
I personally have bought books on line, software online, and even one computer online. Most of my online purchases have been from major retailers' websites, or eBay. And when I go to eBay, I usually buy books there, and I almost always buy "Buy It Now" items, simply because I've never done well trying to bid. I haven't got the patience. I buy mostly smaller items on eBay like books and software mostly because I'm unwilling to pay the shipping for stuff like furniture, bicycles, vacuum cleaners, etc. Unless a large purchase is absolutely something I cannot find locally, I would be unlikely to buy it online anywhere.
What are your online shopping habits? I would be personally interested in that information because, in addition to blogging, I try some online marketing from time to time via online merchant partners and even on rare occasions as a seller on eBay! Leave a comment and share your thoughts about the whole process of online shopping.
